Happy Birthday, Jayden!

We celebrated Jayden's one-year birthday this past month. Wow! He has been walking for a month, loves "gog" (dog), still makes hilarious faces, and constantly keeps us smiling.

Boy was it fun to just dig into the cake...

And to play with new toys...

Being parents to Jayden is such a wonderful blessing, not to mention very entertaining. We love you Blue Jay!

Adventures in Italy

In the middle of May, we took a trip to the beautiful country of Italy. We toured around such places as Rome, Cinque Terre, Florence, Venice, Terni, and Pompei. We also got to visit with many of the church members that Nathan knew on his mission. So much fun! We tried to cut down on the number of pictures in this posting but it's just too hard to do. Italy just has so much to see and experience!

Packing the essentials.

Oh, bread anyone?!

Trevi Fountain. Legend says that if you toss a coin in the fountain, you will some day return to Rome.

Traveling by train was by far our favorite way to get around.

Cinque Terre is made up of 5 small towns snuggled in the rocky ocean cliffs.

In Florence, we got to play some intense ultimate frisbee with the missionaries and members. Jayden also got his first doggy kisses.

Have you ever asked yourself: What would happen if I pulled out a cookie in the middle of Venice? Here's your answer.

Marmore Falls. These falls are "turned" on and off during different times of the day (there's a lake and dam on the other side of the mountain...above the falls). Weird, huh?

An enchanting, cobble-stone alley in Rome (sidewalk cafe included).

New happenings in the Dyer Family

5 months old! Wow! Jayden is as lively as ever and can now roll over from back to stomach. Yay! He is also getting better at sitting up and laughs a ton when daddy plays with him.

Even at a young age, Jayden has paparazzi following him around just to get a good shot of him in his natural surroundings.

Nathan is learning lots about home repair at work, etc., which is such a blessing in our own home. Plus, Adrienne passed her national nursing exam and got a job at the hospital. At last, an official RN!

A few of Jayden's favorite things

Life continues to be full of wonderful surprises, Jayden being at the center of those surprises. Jayden is very interactive and spends his days eating, sleeping, smiling, talking and gurgling, doing tummy time, sucking on his hand, laughing at daddy, reading with mommy, and so on. Nathan is currently working with a property management company and spends his days helping people and making them smile, hammering, fixing things, shoveling snow, etc., and comes home each evening to a very happy baby boy and wife. Adrienne spends her days making funny faces with Jayden, changing diapers, giving baths, reading and talking with Jayden, and posting ridiculously cute pictures of Jayden on the family blog. A few of Jayden's favorite things are:

Jayden loves to smile...

and to drool...

and to stare...

and to suck on his hand...

Baby's First Christmas

So much has happened with Jayden since our last post! He now weighs a whopping 16 pounds, smiles a lot more, and is an avid conversationalist. And boy oh boy does he make some fun facial expressions.

Here is a picture of our little family at Temple Square.

Jayden's first snow day.

Yay for snow! This was after Jayden and I ventured through a blizzard (he slept the whole time).

Jayden's adorable new snow suit.

Life is wonderful! We have so much fun with our baby boy, as you can tell. We just finished school and are now venturing into the world of no homework and finding jobs and just enjoying each new day.
