Happy Birthday, Jayden!

We celebrated Jayden's one-year birthday this past month. Wow! He has been walking for a month, loves "gog" (dog), still makes hilarious faces, and constantly keeps us smiling.

Boy was it fun to just dig into the cake...

And to play with new toys...

Being parents to Jayden is such a wonderful blessing, not to mention very entertaining. We love you Blue Jay!

Adventures in Italy

In the middle of May, we took a trip to the beautiful country of Italy. We toured around such places as Rome, Cinque Terre, Florence, Venice, Terni, and Pompei. We also got to visit with many of the church members that Nathan knew on his mission. So much fun! We tried to cut down on the number of pictures in this posting but it's just too hard to do. Italy just has so much to see and experience!

Packing the essentials.

Oh, bread anyone?!

Trevi Fountain. Legend says that if you toss a coin in the fountain, you will some day return to Rome.

Traveling by train was by far our favorite way to get around.

Cinque Terre is made up of 5 small towns snuggled in the rocky ocean cliffs.

In Florence, we got to play some intense ultimate frisbee with the missionaries and members. Jayden also got his first doggy kisses.

Have you ever asked yourself: What would happen if I pulled out a cookie in the middle of Venice? Here's your answer.

Marmore Falls. These falls are "turned" on and off during different times of the day (there's a lake and dam on the other side of the mountain...above the falls). Weird, huh?

An enchanting, cobble-stone alley in Rome (sidewalk cafe included).
