We Graduated ! ! . . . but not really

At least it's a good excuse to have family come and visit! We do not actually finish school until December but...there are no graduation ceremonies then. So, we got to spend the weekend dressing up in blue graduation gowns and relaxing with family. Nathan walked with the BYU College of Nursing (What can I say, he's just a nice guy. . . plus the ceremony with this college is shorter :) He was sad he did not get the special pin the other nurses got. However, though slowly and painfully, he is recovering.
Life is great and we look forward to October when our family will be a family of three! B.D. is still amazing us with his strength. He loves to extend his limbs and we have lots of fun identifying a head here and a foot there through my abdominal wall. B.D. is also excelling in math, as Nathan teaches him addition with taps on my belly. Hey, you can never start too early in creating a GENIUS!

It's A Boy!!

This is our 20 week ultrasound of Baby Dyer (a.k.a. "B.D.")! He is flaunting his cute, button-nose profile in the first picture and his leg and foot in the second picture.
B.D. measured big in the ultrasound so we are bracing ourselves for a "goliath" of a baby, or just an earlier delivery than expected. At the very beginning of the ultrasound, we got to see some spectacular video of B.D. opening and closing his jaw (probably drinking amniotic fluid). Atta boy!
Nathan and I have had a lot of fun getting to know B.D. throughout the pregnancy. Right now he is very active, performing such spectacular feats as somersaults and various martial arts moves. And he is actually big enough for us to see him kicking and moving around (seen as pulsations and "waves" through my abdominal wall).
We are so excited for Baby Dyer to come and have already begun making preparations by way of accumulating baby gear and practicing being parents. Today we tried out our new stroller for the first time (I pushed it up to campus packed with Nathan's books). Boy, what a work-out going up hills with the baby will be!
Now, our dilemma . . . what are we going to name this little ninja?
